Barryland offers an exclusive annual pass, available for adult/senior or child/youth.

Subscribing to this pass gives you free access to exhibitions as well as the areas dedicated to the St. Bernards (not including events subject to a charge) as often as you like for 12 months starting from the date of issue.

Barryland is located in Martigny, Switzerland, a spot well served by major trunk roads. How to get there:

From Switzerland

Take the “Martigny-Expo” exit off the A9 motorway

  • From Geneva: Approx. 1.5 hours via the A1 and then the A9 motorway towards Martigny.
  • From Lausanne: Approx. 1 hour taking the A9 motorway to the Martigny exit.
  • From Sion: Approx. 30 minutes via the A9 motorway towards Martigny.

From France

  • From Chamonix: Approx. 45 minutes via Route Blanche (E25/N205) and the Col de la Forclaz.
  • From Annecy: Approx. 1 h 40 mins. passing through Geneva and taking the A1 and then the A9 motorways.

From Italy

  • From Aosta: Approx. 1 h via the Great St. Bernard tunnel and the E27.
  • The Great St. Bernard tunnel offers free return to visitors to Barryland, who must present on their return:
    • their outbound ticket dated within 72 hours
    • their Barryland admission ticket.
    • Promotion only valid for cars.

Nearby parking

  • Free parking at Barryland at the entrance to the building with 50 parking spaces and reserved places for buses and those with limited mobility. Six charging points are also available.
  • Municipal “Barryland” free car park opposite the theme park, blue zone, max. 5 hours
  • CERM paid car park, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: 60 minutes free then CHF 0.50/hour

Accessibility

The whole building is accessible to people with a motor disability.

Facilities: Nearby areas of the park reserved with easy access, lift and accessible toilets in the main building and restaurant, wheelchair available on loan at reception (subject to availability).

Guide dogs / assistance dogs are welcome throughout the park, apart from the first floor where the dog boxes are located. They should be prevented from coming into contact with the St. Bernards as much as possible at all times.

How much is admission?

Can you pay in euros at the park’s ticket desk?

Euro cash is not accepted, but you can pay by card in euros.

Are there reduced rates or special offers?

Yes, there are reduced rates for certain age categories and for groups. Many of our partners also offer discounts: please ask them directly for more information.

Can you buy tickets online?

Yes, tickets are available from our online ticket office. A discount of CHF 2.00 applies to every online purchase.

Are tickets purchased online issued in a specific name? When are they valid?

Tickets are not issued in a specific name and are valid on the date selected at the time of purchase.

I’ve received a Barryland gift voucher, how can I use it?

Gift vouchers can be used either online or on site at Barryland.

Are the exhibitions available in multiple languages? Are there any audio guides available?

Yes, the exhibitions are presented in French, German and English. There aren’t any audio guides, but on-site supports will ensure an independent and enriching visit.

Is there car parking available on site?

Yes, Barryland offers 50 free parking spaces, with six charging points as well as spaces reserved for buses and those with limited mobility. There are also other public car parks nearby.

Can you pet the St. Bernard dogs?

In order to ensure their welfare and regulation, we don’t allow visitors to pet the dogs. We have on average 400 visitors a day, and if each one was allowed to pet the dogs, it would cause them stress and would disrupt their care, walking and activity routines, which are essential to their thriving. However, you can watch them doing their everyday activities or get closer to them by taking part in one of our activities.

Can you spend time with the St. Bernard dogs?

Yes, we offer various activities with the dogs which you can register for.

Can you take photos in the park?

Visitors can take photos and record video in all parts of the park that are accessible to the public. However, recordings must only ever be used for strictly private purposes. Please contact our press office for professional photo shoots or video recordings.

Are there lockers on site for storing personal belongings?

You can leave your bags in the dedicated automatic lockers at the entrance to the museum.

Is there Wifi at Barryland?

Personal dogs

Can you visit Barryland with a dog?

Personal dogs are not permitted inside Barryland. However, there are ventilated and shaded cages available where your four-legged friend can stay during your visit. If you wish to use one, please ask for a key at reception on your arrival.

However, dogs are welcome in the Barry café restaurant.
